Daniell Cornell is an independent arts professional, cultural historian, curator, and educator with a focus on theories of representation, politics, gender and sexuality. He holds PhDs from the City University of New York Graduate School and Washington State University and was Fulbright Professor of American Culture at the University of Porto, Portugal. He has held positions at the New Museum in New York, Morgan Library, and Yale University Art Gallery. At the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco he was director of contemporary art projects and most recently was director of art at Palm Springs Art Museum.
